  1. Remove any loaded material from the existing tool head.
    • Remove any loaded material from the existing tool head.

    • Power off the printer. Let hotend cool! We are not responsible if you burn yourself.

    • Position tool head to the far right side of the printer.

  2. Use the 2.5mm hex key included with your LM Nano to unscrew and remove the two screws located just above the heatsink fan. Remove the hotend cover/fan assembly. This piece is attached to the tool head body by a rubber strap, so you can just let it hang. Unplug the 5-pin hotend connector locate at the front of the tool head. Make sure to pinch the release lever on the tool head end on the connector.
    • Use the 2.5mm hex key included with your LM Nano to unscrew and remove the two screws located just above the heatsink fan.

    • Remove the hotend cover/fan assembly. This piece is attached to the tool head body by a rubber strap, so you can just let it hang.

    • Unplug the 5-pin hotend connector locate at the front of the tool head. Make sure to pinch the release lever on the tool head end on the connector.

  3. Remove black filament guide from hotend leaving PTFE tubing in the hotend.
    • Remove black filament guide from hotend leaving PTFE tubing in the hotend.

    • Place filament guide on your new hotend making sure that the flat side of the filament guide is facing the longer end of the blue heater block.

  4. Grab the hotend by the heatsink and slide it into the tool head. If the hotends seems to be caught, release the pressure on the filament idle bearing by pressing back on the black lever. DO NOT remove by grabbing blue heater block Make sure that the blue heater block is parallel to the fan shroud and that they are not touching.

    • Make sure that the blue heater block is parallel to the fan shroud and that they are not touching.

    • Plug in the 5-pin connector.

  5. Replace hotend cover/fan assembly and screw in both screws.
    • Replace hotend cover/fan assembly and screw in both screws.

  6. You are now ready to use your new LM Nano hotend!
